Employee Center Database Schema and Data Model Ownership Policy
No Raw Database Data Claim
For clarity, this document does not claim that Quintin N. Mahan owns raw facts, raw database rows, independent outside source records, CRS-owned operational records, customer-owned records, third-party-owned records, or customer relationships merely because such information is entered into, stored in, processed by, displayed through, backed up with, or exported from EC.
This document protects EC Protected Materials: the application, software, source code, schemas, database design, data model, relationships, indexes, workflows, dashboards, reports, queries, automations, integrations, APIs, access controls, credentials, hardware, infrastructure, legal records, certificate records, hashes, metadata systems, audit systems, methods, processes, techniques, trade secrets, documentation, and EC-created structural organization.

1. Purpose
This policy protects the EC database schema, data model, relationships, migrations, naming conventions, normalized structures, indexes, constraints, audit fields, and related design decisions.
EC’s data model is a core part of EC and the EC Protected Materials.
2. Scope
This policy applies to EC tables, columns, relationships, constraints, indexes, migrations, views, materialized views, functions, triggers, seeds, fixtures, query structures, naming conventions, validation logic, audit fields, retention fields, legal fields, certificate fields, and report models.
3. Ownership
The EC database schema and data model are owned by Quintin N. Mahan unless a separate written agreement signed by Quintin N. Mahan states otherwise.
No user or company receives ownership of EC’s schema or data model because they enter records, request features, use reports, review dashboards, or depend on EC.
4. No Copying or Reverse Engineering
Users and companies may not copy, clone, publish, export, reconstruct, reverse engineer, or use the EC schema or data model to create another system without written authorization from Quintin N. Mahan.
5. Derived Structures
EC-normalized records, EC-derived records, EC metadata, EC audit fields, EC relationships, EC histories, EC computed fields, EC summary tables, and EC reporting structures are part of the EC Protected Materials.
6. Source Systems
Outside source systems may have their own data structures.
Importing, syncing, transforming, reconciling, or viewing outside records through EC does not transfer the EC data model to those outside systems or companies.
7. Schema Changes
Quintin N. Mahan may modify the schema and data model at his discretion for features, performance, legal records, reporting, backups, security, integrations, ownership protection, or evidence preservation and authorized transition support.
8. Evidence and Audit
Schema versions, migration records, database diagrams, model documentation, and generated schema reports may be retained as ownership evidence.
Changes to This Policy
Quintin N. Mahan may update this policy by publishing a new active version in EC.
The current active version will be displayed through the Legal hub or Policies hub.
Older versions may remain stored in Postgres for audit, evidence, legal history, and historical review.
