1. Purpose

This Notice governs EC handling of phone events, caller ID events, call logs, SMS/modem events, audio-related records, recordings, transcripts, and phone-system diagnostics where enabled.

This Notice is intentionally separate from ordinary call-log policy because audio and recordings may be subject to additional legal requirements.

2. Scope

This Notice applies to call events, caller ID, ring events, off-hook events, voicemail metadata, SMS commands, modem logs, phone diagnostics, audio files, recordings, transcripts, summaries, and related attachments if EC stores or processes them.

3. No Default Recording Guarantee

EC may log phone events without recording audio.

Unless a feature is specifically enabled, EC does not guarantee that calls are recorded, transcribed, stored, or retrievable.

4. Recording Compliance

Users must comply with applicable law, customer notice requirements, company policy, and owner/admin instructions before recording, uploading, transcribing, or sharing call audio.

5. Authorized Use

Phone events and audio-related records may be used for support, service history, evidence preservation and authorized transition support, troubleshooting, evidence, training, quality review, and security where lawful and authorized.

6. Prohibited Use

Users may not use recordings, audio, transcripts, caller ID records, or phone logs for harassment, retaliation, unauthorized surveillance, personal disputes, or non-EC purposes.

7. Retention

Phone event and audio-related records may be retained, archived, backed up, or deleted according to EC configuration, legal holds, operational needs, and owner/admin judgment.

8. Third-Party Systems

Phone and audio data may depend on carriers, Google Voice, Poly/OBi devices, modems, voicemail systems, local devices, or other systems with their own limitations.
