Employee Center Open Source Notices
No Raw Database Data Claim
For clarity, this document does not claim that Quintin N. Mahan owns raw facts, raw database rows, independent outside source records, CRS-owned operational records, customer-owned records, third-party-owned records, or customer relationships merely because such information is entered into, stored in, processed by, displayed through, backed up with, or exported from EC.
This document protects EC Protected Materials: the application, software, source code, schemas, database design, data model, relationships, indexes, workflows, dashboards, reports, queries, automations, integrations, APIs, access controls, credentials, hardware, infrastructure, legal records, certificate records, hashes, metadata systems, audit systems, methods, processes, techniques, trade secrets, documentation, and EC-created structural organization.

1. Purpose
This Open Source Notices document explains that Employee Center (“EC”) may use open-source software, libraries, packages, frameworks, tools, dependencies, or components.
EC is a private operational platform owned by Quintin N. Mahan.
This Notice is intended to acknowledge that EC may include or rely on open-source components while making clear that use of open-source components does not transfer ownership of EC, EC source code, EC workflows, EC reports, EC dashboards, EC automations, EC integrations, EC certificates, EC legal records, EC backups, or the EC Protected Materials.
2. Scope
This Notice applies to open-source or third-party software that may be used in or with EC, including:

3. Relationship to Other Policies
This Notice works together with the Employee Center Terms and Conditions, Copyright and Proprietary Notice, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Notice, Data Security Policy, Data Retention and Backup Policy, API and Integrations Policy, and Updates, Features, and Releases Policy.
If this Notice conflicts with the Employee Center Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions control unless Quintin N. Mahan signs a separate written agreement stating otherwise.
Nothing in this Notice transfers ownership of EC, EC source code, EC workflows, EC reports, EC dashboards, EC automations, EC integrations, EC legal records, EC certificates, EC backups, EC infrastructure, or the EC Protected Materials.
4. Open-Source Components Remain Under Their Own Licenses
Open-source components used by EC remain subject to their own licenses.
Those licenses may include permissions, notices, attribution requirements, warranty disclaimers, source-code terms, redistribution terms, or other requirements.
EC’s use of an open-source component does not mean EC itself is open source unless Quintin N. Mahan expressly releases EC under an open-source license in a separate written statement.
5. EC Remains Proprietary
EC remains proprietary to Quintin N. Mahan.
Open-source components may be used to build, run, support, test, deploy, or maintain EC, but EC as a whole remains privately owned unless Quintin N. Mahan expressly states otherwise in writing.
No user, company, buyer, successor, employee, contractor, vendor, or third party may claim ownership of EC because EC uses open-source components.
6. No Implied License to EC
Open-source licenses for third-party components do not create an implied license to EC itself.
Users and companies do not receive the right to copy, clone, fork, publish, redistribute, reverse engineer, extract, transfer, or reuse EC, EC source code, EC workflows, EC reports, EC dashboards, EC automations, EC integrations, EC legal workflows, EC certificate systems, EC database structures, or EC backups.
Any access to EC remains governed by the Employee Center Terms and Conditions.
7. Open-Source Notices List
EC may maintain a list of open-source components used by EC.
The list may include component name, version, license type, package source, project URL, notice text, attribution text, dependency purpose, date reviewed, and notes.
The list may be incomplete, updated over time, or revised as EC dependencies change.
8. Dependency Changes
Quintin N. Mahan may add, remove, replace, upgrade, downgrade, patch, disable, or modify EC dependencies at his discretion.
Dependency changes may occur for security, compatibility, bug fixes, performance, maintenance, feature development, licensing review, deployment changes, infrastructure changes, or owner/admin preference.
No user or company is entitled to require EC to use or avoid any specific dependency unless a separate written agreement signed by Quintin N. Mahan states otherwise.
9. Security and Dependency Risk
Open-source and third-party components may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, compatibility issues, abandoned code, license changes, or security risks.
Quintin N. Mahan may review, patch, replace, restrict, remove, or continue using dependencies based on owner/admin judgment.
Use of a dependency does not create a guarantee that EC will be free of bugs, vulnerabilities, downtime, compatibility issues, or security issues.
10. No Warranty from Open-Source Components
Open-source components are generally provided by their authors under their own license terms and disclaimers.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EC does not provide any warranty based on the use of open-source components.
EC remains provided under the Employee Center Terms and Conditions and applicable EC policies.
11. Third-Party Rights
Nothing in this Notice is intended to remove, alter, or misrepresent the rights of open-source authors or third-party licensors.
Open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses.
This Notice is intended to preserve EC ownership while acknowledging that certain third-party components may have separate license terms.
12. No User Modification of Dependency Notices
Users and companies may not remove, alter, falsify, obscure, or delete open-source notices, license notices, dependency records, attribution records, or EC ownership notices.
Users may not use dependency notices as a basis to claim ownership of EC.
13. Changes to This Notice
Quintin N. Mahan may update this Open Source Notices document by publishing a new active version in EC.
The current active version will be displayed through the Legal hub.
Older versions may remain stored in Postgres for audit, evidence, and historical review.
